Since graduating with his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 2011, Associate Attorney John Durishan has proven to be both effective and passionate in his representation of clients dealing with employment law cases. During his time at law school, Durishan interned at Albany Law School’s award winning clinic, representing low-income clients in unemployment hearings and interned for the Third Judicial District Town and Village Courts.
In addition to his experience as an attorney at Melville Johnson, P.C., Attorney Durishan’s previous work experience as a program assistant for New York State Office of the State Comptroller gives him valuable insight into the policies that affect employment law. While working for the state of New York, he helped create internal policies and procedures for equal employment and managed internal discrimination and harassment complaints. He is licensed to practice in the state of New York.
